How it works:

  • A call for heART will be put out on multiple media platforms, with specific tags + #hashtags (#heART will always be included) and a suggestion for a direction for imagery.

  • Artists create space to create art (Artists of all levels of experience and medium are welcome to participate) You're invited to create while thinking on, praying for, setting intention on and sending energy towards the specific people in need -- and maybe all who are in need of healing and love. You're welcome to experiment with combining your spiritual practices and creative process. Invitations and offerings are often posted on this site.

  • Once the piece is complete, artists then take a picture of their work

  • and then post to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, The Joyful Noise blog, wherever you're called to post -- using designated tags + #hashtags for the project

  • If you wish to have your work directly displayed on this site, please send a picture of your piece with name, title and any message you wish to be displayed to whimsymim@gmail.com

  • Share.

If you or someone you know is in need of a heART flood, please drop a line.

Through working with the amazing tool of the internet, we can generate a lot of healing energy and light for those in need, even if we don't personally know the people named.

4/22/15 - Third Call for heART -- Prayers for the Earth and All of Earth's inhabitants

Today is Earth Day! My prayer is for all of the Earth, all of us, to be well and to become more of a WE. May the grasses, the trees, the waters, the winds, the winged, the crawlers, the furry, the slippery, those with legs and those without, those bring pollen, those who clean the carnage, we who talk, we who have sight, we who have hearts, we who walk the Earth, all of us be well!

I am working on my piece, and will be posting it soon!

So here is the call!
If you wish to send a heART prayer to the Earth and/or any particular creature, being, element of our Earth - please make a Heart centered piece of art (any kind of art!) and post to Instagram and/or Facebook - using hashtags ‪#heARTprayerforearth and #callforheART and if you tag Meg Yates on Facebook, and give your permission, I will post your art with credit on my website (www.meghan-yates.com)! Through creating sacred space, slowing down through creating art, receiving and also sharing the messages we receive through that process, we share our light. Art alone will not heal, but our participation in whatever ways call our authentic selves will activate us and inspire us to participate more fully in our lives. If you are called to, create! I look forward to seeing what flows forth!

Feel free to share this call by cutting and pasting the text!
***There are never limitations based on artistic ability or experience, nor  any limitations of faith or no faith, named or un-named paths. All are welcome to participate.

3/22/15 - Second Call for heART -- Prayers for the Earth's Waters.

Today is World Water Day. Last year on this day (3/22/15) I was in Arizona with about 399 women + the 13 Grandmothers-- gathered around Montezuma Well in simultaneous ceremony with people all over the world for water, our life blood. The Grandmothers are great teachers. They show the way through ceremony and invitation. they are fierce and directed and also welcoming and kind. This way of teaching brings the heart with your mind. Those days opened my heart and set me on a path of re-building my life in right relationship. I met woman from other tribes whose stories were so similar to my families stories, that I awoke to know that this is a pain WE need to heal. It's not for any one of us to heal alone. Through facing the past with other women, and allowing the tears to flow, I came closer to understanding how the Grandmothers were teaching us about How to Heal the waters of our earth. The salt in our tears, the salt in the ocean. It is most necessary to face with vulnerability our existence and therefore our impact on everything within and around us. To heal our waters, we need to heal ourselves too. We don't harm others when we are right with ourselves. We need to get right with ourselves. We need to get right with each other and this Earth. It's a process, and one that requires great courage.

So here is the call!
If you wish to send a heART prayer to the Waters of our Earth - please make a Heart centered piece of art (any kind of art!) and post to Instagram and/or Facebook - using hashtags ‪#prayerforourwaters and #callforheART and if you tag Meg Yates on Facebook, and give your permission, I will post your art with credit on this website! Through creating sacred space, slowing down through creating art, receiving and also sharing the messages we receive through that process, we share our light. Art will not heal our waters or heal us, but our participation in whatever ways call our authentic selves will activate us and inspire us to participate more fully in our lives. If you are called, create! I look forward to seeing what flows forth!

2/22/15 - First Call for heART -- flooding the Ethridge family with love.

My dear friends and fellow Artmonk Alicia and her husband Will have a little boy Wesley who came out of the womb both incredibly luminous -and- with a very fragile heart. He has had rather intensive care and some surgeries in his 16 months of being here. He is over-all, one of the most happy and resilient people I have met. Right now, he is in critical condition, post heart operation - and his parents are weary and needing rest, good news, and mostly, they need their little boy to be well and able to express his beautiful self fully.

In my prayer time yesterday morning, I saw thousands of colorful hearts floating gently towards Wesley, Alicia and Will - and heard the call to act in prayer and make a healthy heart for Wesley. The work I do as an Artmonk, the way I grew in intimacy and spiritual depth with Alicia, calls out Art as Prayer - a way to send and receive messages, wishes, faith, bolstering to those in need.

So here is the call!
If you wish to send a heART prayer to Wesley, Alicia and Will - please make a Heart centered piece of art (any kind of art!) and post to Instagram and/or Facebook - using hashtags ‪#prayerforwesley‬ and ‪#heART‬ and for Instagram tag @aliciaethridge and @wteii& Facebook tags, Alicia Ethridge and William Ethridge!!!

There are never limitations based on artistic ability or experience, nor  any limitations of faith or no faith, named or un-named paths. All are welcome to participate.

Let's flood this family with love!!! Are you in?! Even if you don't know the Ethridges, please don't be shy! They are both welcoming of your love and wishes and artful prayers.

Many of you have submitted beautiful hearts since the original call went out yesterday! Your messages brought sweetness, and best of all, Wesley had a better night last night. Thank you!

With bright Love!
